One of the places we went to was Ford’s theater. The infamous theater that sadly is home to the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. The exterior is the same. However inside has been remodeled due to a fire, etc.
It was so amazing being there. Touching a building that Lincoln did. The booth was closed because its still an active theater and they were in rehearsals. He was such a great man. It’s so sad, so much sadness touched his life and his families.
We also walked right across the street to the extension of the museum. Where back than it was a boarding hospital. Dr.’s got word that there was a vacant room there. Which was convenient, and rushed him there. So it was very close. I wish they had, had the technology that we have today. Than maybe he would of made it. I saw the sitting area that Robert and Mary Lincoln sat while waiting. The room, and bed. He was so great that these are all written on him.
